Compact Lawns
(half a tennis court)
The general rule is: the smaller the lawn, the smaller the mower. Manoeuvrability is also important because smaller lawns can sometimes include tight corners or awkward shapes.
Medium sized lawns

Petrol-driven models with a 19" or a 21" cutting width will get the job done quicker. Large
Lawns
(greater than one tennis court)
Self propelled models with a 21" cutting width will tackle large lawns with ease.
You may also conside a ride-on mower for larger areas. Formal with stripes
The finish you want for your lawn is a personal decision. If you prefer the idea of classic 'bowling green' stripes to a uniform finish, you will need a mower with a rear roller.

Stiga pedestrian lawnmowers come in different families. The Multiclip family consists of Euro, Plus, Rental and Pro. The Collector family collects up the grass instead. With the Turbo machines you select the method yourself, collection, mulch or ejection.. If you mow your lawn frequently and have a large garden, a Pro mower might be the best choice.
If you have a small garden, an environmentally-friendly, electrically powered Turbo 39 or 41 El will be sufficient. For larger gardens, a larger cutting width is required. Look at the Multiclip 50 El or 50 Plus! For large gardens, opt for a Multiclip 50 Rental, a Turbo 55 Combi or a self-propelled model.
